Duties
- Assist patients with mobility needs, including helping them into and out of vehicles with care and respect
- Monitor patient condition during transit, communicating any concerns or changes to medical staff as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of transfer vehicles to ensure a safe environment for all patients
- Follow established safety protocols and infection control procedures during each transfer
- Document transfer details accurately, including patient information, transfer times, and any incidents or observations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate timely and efficient patient transfers
Qualifications
- Prior hospital experience or familiarity with patient care procedures is highly preferred
- Strong commitment to patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare staff, and team members
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as assisting with mobility and lifting patients when necessary
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; additional certifications in patient handling or first aid are a plus
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professionalism in a healthcare environment
