Job Title: Enterprise FinOps Engineer
Location: Edmonton, AB
Note: Prior experience in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom is non-negotiable.
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Enterprise FinOps Engineer with a strong background in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments. The ideal candidate will support enterprise-wide cloud financial management, governance, and optimization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise FinOps initiatives across BFSI, Public Sector, and Telecom environments.
- Support modernization initiatives for core banking systems, citizen services applications, OSS/BSS platforms, billing systems, charging platforms, and telecom infrastructure.
- Develop enterprise cloud financial governance frameworks and standards.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, chargeback, and showback programs.
- Collaborate with executives, finance teams, architects, and engineering leaders.
- Support telecom infrastructure, network operations, customer platforms, and 5G services.
- Drive cloud cost transparency and accountability initiatives.
- Develop cloud financial reporting and optimization strategies.
- Ensure compliance with governance, financial controls, and operational standards.
- Promote FinOps maturity and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as an Enterprise FinOps Engineer within BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments.
- Experience supporting banking systems, government applications, OSS/BSS platforms, billing systems, charging platforms, or telecom infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in cloud financial management, governance, and optimization.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Understanding of governance, compliance, and financial control requirements.
- Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and financial planning abilities.
- FinOps certifications preferred.
