Job Opportunity: Yacht Detailer (Marine Polishing & Boat Waxing Technician)

Our company provides top-notch yacht management and detailing services across major marinas throughout Southern Vancouver Island. We take pride in delivering the best possible service and results for our clients and their vessels.
We are currently looking for crew members to join our fun, dynamic team and help us through the busy boating season.
Please note: This is a marine detailing role (boat/yacht care)
Job Description & Skill Requirements;
- Basic boating tasks and skills ie: tying knots
- Application of waxes and compounds to paint and gel coat
- Polishing boats with electric polishers
- Washing and drying boat exteriors
- Interior cleaning
- Teak cleaning and coating
- Metal and Isinglass cleaning and polishing
- Detailing and cleaning yachts of all shapes and sizes
- Keeping track of products and using them efficiently
- Time management and maximizing work hours
- Positive, upbeat attitude
- Working well with the team and being a team player
- Comfortable working at heights on larger yachts
- Perform tasks safely and responsibly
- Ability to operate power tools for long periods
- Ability to work outdoors in all conditions
Additional tasks may include:
Vacuuming, engine room and bilge cleaning, carpet cleaning, caulking, painting, and other odd jobs as needed.
If you have prior waxing or polishing experience, we’re happy to negotiate a higher rate of pay based on your skill level.
Showing up to different marinas with your own vehicle is a must.
Being on time and present on scheduled workdays is an absolute must as our teams rely on each other to get the job done on time.
This job involves hard work and manual labor. Most days are spent in the sun, holding 10 lb polishing equipment for multiple hours. This job is not for people who can't handle hard work and good fun.

Previous experience in the following areas is an asset (but not required):
Detailing (especially marine or auto detailing), landscaping, construction, window cleaning, general labour, pressure washing, cleaning, carpentry, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
