Jeffrey’s Café is looking for an outgoing and dependable Server to join our front-of-house team. We’re seeking someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy restaurant environment and takes pride in creating a welcoming experience for every guest.
This is a permanent position offering approximately 30–35 hours per week, with shifts scheduled Monday through Saturday. Applicants must be available to work evenings between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Become knowledgeable about our menu and confidently answer guest questions
- Serve food and alcoholic beverages responsibly
- Process payments accurately using our POS system
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar and front-of-house team members
- Maintain clean, organized and properly stocked service areas
- Complete opening, closing and side duties
- Follow Jeffrey’s Café service standards and workplace policies
- Work as part of a team to ensure timely, consistent service
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid Alberta ProServe certification
- Must be available Monday through Saturday, including regular evening shifts from 4:00–10:00 p.m.
- Previous serving or customer-service experience is preferred
- Strong communication, organization and time-management skills
- Dependable, punctual and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and genuine interest in providing excellent hospitality
- Able to remain professional and attentive during busy service periods
