Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages using standard recipes and equipment such as Micros POS systems.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS and cashiering skills, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Take customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely service while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks, including serving food items and maintaining cleanliness in food service areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper food handling and sanitation standards are upheld at all times.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Support team members as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
