Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Warehouse Person to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for maintaining efficient warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, order picking, and heavy equipment handling. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various warehouse management systems. This position offers an opportunity to work with heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and clamp trucks in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Load and unload materials using heavy equipment including forklifts, and pallet lifters,
- Perform order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate heavy machinery safely for construction, shipping, and receiving tasks
- Manage inventory through warehouse management systems to ensure accurate stock levels
- Assist in the movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring proper storage and safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the warehouse environment
- Support shipping & receiving processes by preparing items for dispatch or receipt
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related logistics roles
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to operate forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely
- Strong skills in order picking, load & unload operations, and inventory management
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks regularly
- Background in electrical or similar fields is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
