Duties
- Act as the main liaison between patients and the dental team, providing exceptional customer service and support throughout their treatment process
- Explain treatment options clearly, answer patient questions, and assist with financial arrangements to facilitate informed decision-making
- Schedule appointments efficiently using DENTRIX, ensuring optimal patient flow
- Verify insurance benefits, process payments, and handle billing inquiries accurately and professionally
- Manage electronic medical records (EMRs) with precision, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
- Coordinate with dental providers to confirm treatment plans and follow-up appointments
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls appropriately and managing appointment reminders
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dental office procedures, including familiarity with Dentrix or Epic practice management systems
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to dental care and insurance processing
- Experience as a dental receptionist or in a front desk role within a dental or medical office setting
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Outstanding communication skills to explain treatment plans clearly and build rapport with patients
- Ability to handle electronic medical records accurately while maintaining confidentiality
- Skilled in managing multi-line phone systems and providing exceptional front desk support
