Position Vacancy: Speech Language Pathology Rehab Outpatient – Chicopee
Position: Temporary Full Time - Speech-Language Pathologist (NU)
Contract End Date: August 20, 2027
Hours of Work: 7.5 hour shifts
Location: WRHN @ Chicopee (formerly Grand River Hospital, Freeport Campus)
Position Summary :
The successful candidate will work at Chicopee campus with an adult caseload. Working within an interdisciplinary team, including CDA’s, the speech language pathologist (SLP) will provide services for the Outpatient Programs (primarily NRC) The SLP will provide assessment, treatment, and education for patients, family and staff regarding the management of communication and swallowing disorders.
Position Requirements:
· Current registration in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASPLO)
· Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited school.
· Membership in Ontario Speech-Language Pathology Association preferred.
· A minimum of two years hospital related experience in assessment and management of dysphagia and video fluoroscopic studies preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, problem solve and respond to competing, unscheduled demands.
· Knowledge of relevant legislation and community resources required.
· Demonstrated ability to function independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
· Experience in an adult rehabilitation setting is preferred
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
· Good attendance record
