We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infant Toddler Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our team. Duties
- Provide attentive care and supervision to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, daily routines, and developmental milestones.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's needs, progress, and concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive classroom environment that supports individual learning styles.
- Manage classroom materials, supplies, and equipment efficiently to ensure a clean and organized space.
- Adhere to all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and organizational policies related to early childhood education.
- Utilize computer skills for documentation, lesson planning, and communication purposes.
- Demonstrate leadership in guiding new staff or interns as needed while maintaining professionalism.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings or classroom environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles for infants and toddlers.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education programs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Organizational skills to manage classroom activities, documentation, and schedules efficiently.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities when necessary and work collaboratively within a team.
- Computer literacy for record keeping, lesson planning, and communication tools.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or childcare is preferred but not required; relevant experience will be considered.
