We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Electrical QA/QC Inspector to support a large-scale electrical construction project operating under a multi-contractor / work package execution model.
This position will work closely with both field and office teams from a site-based field office and play a critical role in ensuring quality, testing compliance, inspection readiness, documentation accuracy, and turnover execution across multiple electrical work lots.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, field-experienced, technically strong, and capable of coordinating with project management, field supervision, contractors, and commissioning teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
Primary Purpose
To lead electrical QA/QC activities across all assigned work lots by coordinating inspections, tracking testing requirements, verifying installation quality, and ensuring systems are properly documented, tested, and prepared for energization and turnover.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage electrical QA/QC activities across multiple work lots and contractors.
Perform and document initial inspections of electrical equipment and materials upon arrival at the warehouse and prior to site release.
Conduct field inspections during equipment installation, cable installation, terminations, and active construction phases to verify compliance with project standards and specifications.
Verify completion and documentation of all required electrical testing including:
- Megger testing
- Torque verification
- Continuity testing
- Grounding verification
- Equipment-specific testing requirements
Maintain inspection records, deficiency tracking, turnover documentation, and QA/QC reporting within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC / Construction Cloud).
Coordinate closely with:
- Senior Project Managers
- Field Integrators / Site Superintendents
- Foremen and Lead Hands
- Consultants
- Commissioning teams
- Client representatives
Monitor lot readiness for testing, inspection, turnover, and energization activities.
Identify deficiencies, incomplete work, and non-conformance issues and help drive timely resolution.
Support final QA/QC walkdowns, turnover packages, and energization readiness.
Ensure all QA/QC documentation remains organized, current, and aligned with project requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
Journeyman Electrician or strong electrical construction background preferred.
Previous QA/QC inspection experience on commercial, industrial, institutional, or large-scale construction projects.
Strong understanding of:
- Electrical installation practices
- QA/QC processes
- Testing and commissioning requirements
- Construction sequencing and turnover processes
Experience with:
- Megger testing
- Torque procedures
- Inspection documentation
- Deficiency management
- Turnover coordination
Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC / Construction Cloud) is mandatory.
Strong communication and coordination skills with both field and office teams.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-contractor construction environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
