Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an experienced US Tax Senior Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation and review of a wide range of U.S. tax returns, including individual, corporate, non-profit and partnership filings. The role requires staying current with evolving tax laws and regulations, while applying this knowledge to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review U.S. federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and applicable tax laws while identifying potential risks
- Conduct tax research and provide guidance on complex tax issues
- Assist with tax planning strategies to optimize client tax positions
- Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Communicate with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and provide updates
- Support with IRS and state notices, and correspondence, including preparing responses
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on tax-related matters
- Stay updated on changes in U.S. tax legislation and assess their impact on clients
Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting or related field of study.
- US CPA certification is a must (including verification with ID.me and ability to access irs.gov E-services as a tax professional).
- 2-4 years of experience at a Senior Analyst level, with a focus on tax management.
- Experience preparing and reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740.
- Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- Collaborate with other team members on larger projects.
Location: Hybrid - required to collaborate in the Woodbridge office 1-2 times a week
Hours: 40 hours a week standard, higher hours in busier times
3 weeks of vacation
Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
