We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Sanitation Clerk to join our team. This role is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and facility areas to ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and facility areas according to sanitation schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Work collaboratively with Supervisors and team members while assisting in other departments as operational needs require.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning and sanitation.
- Perform the 4-step sanitation process (Rinse → Soap → Rinse → Sanitize) while ensuring all food contact surfaces are properly cleaned.
- Complete sanitation documentation, post-cleaning inspections, and swabbing procedures as required.
- Safely operate sanitation equipment and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with company procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Monitor chemical concentrations and ensure proper storage and handling of sanitation chemicals and supplies.
- Remove waste, replenish cleaning supplies and PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and company policies.
- Follow all Occupational Health & Safety procedures and report hazards, equipment issues, injuries, or sanitation concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Previous sanitation, janitorial, or food manufacturing experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, standing, and repetitive tasks.
Schedule
- Full Time
- Must be able to work 1 weekend day - either Saturday or Sunday
- Shift start times vary between 6PM - 8:30PM based on operational requirements
Pay: $38,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
