Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Senior Geologist to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation.

As part of the Exploration Geoscience team and reporting to the Exploration Superintendent, the Senior Geologist – Projects leads and coordinates geological programs supporting exploration, resource development, environmental compliance, safety and operational objectives. This role combines advanced technical geology expertise with program leadership, multi-disciplinary collaboration, budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement responsibilities.
The successful candidate will provide oversight of geological projects, mentor technical teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and support data-driven decision-making across multidisciplinary programs.
Job Responsibilities:

Assist the Exploration Superintendent with oversight of geological investigations, exploration programs, mapping, sampling, drilling, and data interpretation activities.

Ensure work is completed in accordance with industry standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate multiple projects and field programs simultaneously, including schedules, staffing, logistics, and deliverables.

Participate in the development and implementation of exploration strategies and plans, providing technical support and guidance.

Facilitate communication between geology, engineering, environmental, operations, and external stakeholders.

Mentor and supervise junior geologists, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.

Prepare technical summaries, presentations, and reports as required.

Support permitting, regulatory submissions, and technical documentation required by government agencies and industry regulators.

Support recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives.

Foster a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
-
8+ years of mineral exploration experience, including significant drilling programs and field operations experience.

Registration as a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) or Geoscientist-in-Training (GIT) in Saskatchewan, or eligible for registration with APEGS.

Supervisory and hands on leadership experience in mining or exploration environments.

Strong knowledge of diamond drilling, sampling, and geological data collection.

Experience managing drilling contractors and field crews, including helicopter, ice, barge, and directional drilling.

Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and data integrity standards.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in fast-paced remote environments.

Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Strong communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.

Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in mineral exploration.

Valid driver’s license and ability to work rotational schedules in remote locations.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $115,000 - $129,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
