- Develop and implement program activities based on Kittens’ Mittens Child Care Curriculum with other educators and mentors to promote the child’s unique physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- Develop schedules and routines in accordance with daily habits and necessities of children in the classroom
- Individualize the curriculum as required, ensuring that all activities are accessible
- Monitor, guide and engage children during learning and play times (indoor and outdoor), meal times, proper hygiene care, and nap/rest times in order to maintain a secure and safe environment
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress and/or behavioral and learning difficulties children may present with parents and other staff members
- Assist other Early Child Care Educators in keeping records
- Maintain child care equipment and assist in housekeeping
- Maintain a physical environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
- Help in preparing and serving snacks and lunch, arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- Order supplies and equipment for the classroom
- Other related duties as assigned
