- Leadership & Supervision: Oversee daily kitchen operations, supervising line cooks and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth, efficient, and positive working environment.
- Quality Control & Presentation: Monitor and execute the preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes to ensure they consistently meet COFU’s premium standards and presentation guidelines.
- Inventory & Station Management: Manage kitchen inventory, monitor stock levels, minimize wastage, and assist with ordering and receiving supplies.
- Food Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and kitchen hygiene regulations at all times.
- Training & Mentorship: Assist in training and onboarding new kitchen team members, fostering growth and alignment with COFU’s culinary techniques.
- Effective Communication: Act as a bridge between the kitchen staff and management/front-of-house to maintain seamless service workflow.
Required or Desired Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, with previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptionally proactive and solution-oriented—anticipates kitchen bottlenecks and resolves operational issues efficiently.
- Accountability: Demonstrates high ownership and responsibility for kitchen performance, cleanliness, and team morale.
- Adaptability & Precision: Quick learner capable of mastering and teaching specialized culinary techniques while maintaining meticulous attention to detail under pressure.
- Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in the Japanese language is a strong asset.
