Slated to open Summer 2026 in beautiful Orléans, Ontario, our brand-new Residence will feature 134 private rooms and 90 shared rooms - each designed for comfort and dignity. Residents will benefit from 24-hour nursing care and personalized support that help them live well, feel valued, and stay connected to what matters most.

The Associate Director of Care provides clinical and operational leadership to support the safe, respectful, and consistent delivery of resident care. Reporting to the Director of Care, this role supports the overall provision of care and services, coordinates unit-level quality activities, and coaches staff in evidence-informed best practices. In conjunction with the Assistant Director of Care, Director of Care, and Interdisciplinary team lead, the Associate Director of Care supports compliance with applicable legislative and professional requirements (including FLTCA/O. Reg. 246/22 and CNO expectations), contributes to inspection readiness and supports the implementation and sustainment of corrective action plans.
Wage Rate:
The starting annual salary is $75,000.

What you will Do:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide clinical leadership and act as Charge Nurse/Clinical Lead in the absence of senior leadership.
Coordinate day-to-day unit operations, prioritize resident needs, and direct team workflow.
Coach and support staff in clinical practice, documentation, communication, and person-centred care.
Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and person-centred care aligned with the Residents’ Bill of Rights.
Support residents and families through effective communication, including conflict resolution.
Oversee and reinforce best practices across key clinical programs (e.g., falls prevention, wound care, pain management, medication administration, infection control).
Ensure safe medication practices, proper documentation, and timely escalation of incidents or concerns.
Monitor resident well-being (nutrition, hydration, behaviours, skin integrity, etc.) and escalate changes appropriately.
Ensure compliance with IPAC standards, documentation requirements, and regulatory expectations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and inspection readiness activities.
Supervise, coach, and support staff performance, including participation in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
Promote a safe work environment, including adherence to health & safety standards and emergency procedures.
Support effective use of resources, including staffing, supplies, and equipment.
Qualifications you will Require:
The qualifications needed to join our family are as follows:
Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Ontario and in good standing with the CNO.
Experience in long-term care or seniors care, with strong knowledge of gerontological practices.
Demonstrated leadership experience (e.g., charge nurse, team lead) with ability to coach and support staff.
Strong knowledge of clinical best practices and LTC regulations.
Commitment to person-centred care and the Residents’ Bill of Rights.
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, with experience in a unionized environment preferred.
Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records (e.g., PointClickCare).
Experience with quality improvement, audits, and compliance processes.
Knowledge of workplace health & safety and infection prevention practices.
Ability to multitask, lead in a fast-paced environment, and respond effectively in emergencies.
GPA/dementia care training.
Being bilingual in French and English is an extraordinary asset.
