Server & Bartender(Barback/Expo/Host) – Upscale Lakeside Dining | The Anchor Sylvan Lake
We are a new upscale dining destination in the heart of Sylvan Lake. Designed to deliver a refined yet welcoming lakeside experience, our restaurant focuses on elevated cuisine, exceptional hospitality, and thoughtfully curated menus showcasing fresh, high-quality ingredients.
We are currently seeking passionate, energetic, and hospitality-driven Servers and Bartenders to join our opening team for both seasonal and permanent positions. We anticipate a very busy summer season and are looking for team members who thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Ideal Server & Bartender Candidates Will:
- Be able to work in a cohesive team environment with strong communication skills
- Have previous serving, bartending, or hospitality experience preferred, though we are willing to train motivated candidates
- Be organized, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Have a positive attitude and professional appearance
- Be self-motivated and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences with confidence and professionalism
- Have strong knowledge of food, cocktails, wine, spirits, and beer or a willingness to learn
- Be comfortable using POS systems and handling payments accurately
- Be able to stand for long periods of time and lift/carry up to 30 pounds
- Work collaboratively with both front and back of house teams
- Have ProServe certification preferred
Bartender Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and attention to detail
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar
- Creating memorable guest experiences through knowledgeable and engaging service
- Assisting with beverage menu knowledge and feature recommendations
- Monitoring responsible alcohol service standards
Server Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting guests and providing attentive, professional service
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately
- Serving food and beverages in a timely and polished manner
- Upselling menu items, cocktails, wine, and features
- Assisting with opening and closing duties
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas
