The Bird & Squirrel is a highly rated boutique vacation rental business operating several unique short-term rental units in Calgary. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional guest experiences through thoughtful hospitality, attention to detail, and impeccably maintained spaces.
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Vacation Rental Cleaner to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible, casual work and who takes pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces for guests.
About the Role
This position provides coverage and additional support when our primary full-time cleaner is unavailable or when turnover volume is higher than usual. Shifts will vary based on booking schedules and business needs.
Most turnovers take place between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with Fridays often being our busiest day.
Responsibilities
- Complete turnover cleans between guest stays
- Change and make beds to hospitality standards
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize laundry
- Restock guest supplies and amenities
- Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas
- Inspect units for cleanliness, damage, or maintenance concerns
- Sweep patios, entrances, and outdoor seating areas
- Clean windowsills, door frames, baseboards, and other detail areas as needed
- Remove garbage and recycling
- Ensure units are guest-ready and meet Bird & Squirrel quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous residential, hotel, Airbnb, or vacation rental cleaning experience is required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Reliable transportation to and from our properties in Calgary
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work within turnover deadlines
- Physically capable of lifting laundry, carrying supplies, climbing stairs and being on your feet for extended periods
- Positive attitude and strong sense of accountability

Compensation
