The Corporate Sponsorship Officer is responsible for developing and growing corporate philanthropy, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities in support of Ronald McDonald House Alberta. This role focuses on securing and stewarding corporate support for signature events, program sponsorships, room sponsorships, employee giving initiatives, and other corporate giving opportunities.
Working collaboratively with the Development team, this position builds and maintains strong relationships with corporate partners and plays a key role in achieving annual fundraising and revenue objectives through strategic relationship management, donor stewardship, and business development.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Calgary, with travel required to Ronald McDonald Houses and events across Alberta. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support events and organizational activities. The successful candidate must reside in Calgary or the surrounding area.
Your work helps build meaningful corporate partnerships that directly strengthen our ability to keep families close when they need it most. By growing sponsorship and philanthropic support, this role helps ensure families across Alberta have access to comfort, care, and community during their child’s medical journey.
Your Key Responsibilities
Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, sponsorship packages, impact reports, and other donor communications.
Monitor portfolio performance and provide regular updates on fundraising progress, donor retention, pipeline development, growth opportunities, and attrition risks.
Build productive, professional relationships with corporate donors, volunteers, community partners, and internal stakeholders.
3+ years of proven experience managing corporate partnerships, sponsorships, fundraising, business development, or related relationship-based revenue generation.
Demonstrated ability to build, cultivate, solicit, and steward meaningful relationships with corporate partners and community stakeholders.
Strong written communication skills, including experience drafting proposals, cases for support, solicitation letters, impact reports, or similar donor-facing materials.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact, judgment, political sensitivity, emotional intelligence, and professionalism.
Strong organizational, project management, reporting, and follow-through skills with focused attention to detail.
Post-secondary education in fundraising, communications, business, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field.
Experience developing sponsorship packages, donor profiles, briefing notes, prospect reports, or corporate engagement strategies.
