Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting and carpentry, with the ability to read blueprints and execute tasks with precision. As a Taper, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, applying tape to joints, and ensuring a smooth finish on various projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning and smoothing areas before taping.
- Apply tape to joints in drywall and other surfaces to create a seamless finish.
- Use caulking to fill gaps and ensure a polished appearance.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to meet project deadlines.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications.
- Maintain tools and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Assist with additional maintenance person tasks as needed throughout the project.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting and carpentry.
- Strong understanding of caulking techniques and materials.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and efficiently.
- Maintenance Person experience is a plus, showcasing versatility in various tasks.
