Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport goods across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and efficient delivery. Candidates must possess excellent driving skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary. Duties
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to deliver goods to various locations within scheduled timeframes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
- Plan routes efficiently to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and other required documentation
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver, with knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo
- Strong driving skills with the ability to operate large vehicles safely over long distances
- Excellent time management skills and reliability in meeting delivery deadlines
- Physical stamina for long hours on the road and handling manual tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
