Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and consistency
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and deliver excellent customer service
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring proper math calculations and change accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including food handling and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including serving baked goods or snacks
- Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Restock supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in serving or food preparation roles demonstrates an understanding of fast-paced environments
- Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours to ensure timely service
