Duties
- Lead and supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's daily experiences.
- Ensure the care environment adheres to health and safety regulations, including cleanliness and risk management
- Collaborate with team members to develop inclusive programs that cater to diverse needs and interests.
- Assist in managing daily administrative tasks such as attendance records and activity planning.
- Build respectful and positive relationships with our families and staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in educational or care settings.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Ability to lead activities that foster learning through play, and fun!
- Excellent communication skills to engage children, parents, and team members effectively
- Demonstrated ability to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all children
- Relevant certifications or training in child development or first aid are preferred but not mandatory
- Passion for helping children grow, learn, and succeed in a positive setting.
- Prepare/serve snack.
- Pick up children from school and walk safely back to the facility.

Hours will be approx 2pm - 515 pm, (4-5 days per week)
Qualifications
Responsible Adult, ECE or equivalent. Emergency Childcare First Aid & CPR
Previous experience working with school-age children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Possess exemplary observational skills to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in our program. Clear and valid Criminal Record Check. Food Safe would be an asset.
