Job Description:
Bin Kings, a fast-growing leader in Calgary waste management and equipment rental, is looking for a reliable, sharp Part-Time Class 5 Roll-Off Bin Truck Driver to join our team. Job Description Summary:
- Pick up and delivery of roll-off 5 to 30-yard dumpster bins to various residential and commercial construction sites and disposal facilities across Calgary.
- Load Securement: Tarping loads and ensuring safe transport of materials.
- Route Management: Maintain and update daily route sheets efficiently.
- Equipment Care: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and strictly adhere to our established safety program.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain a clean truck, wash and complete light servicing of the truck and hook-lift system (cleaning, greasing, visual checks). Perform bin washes and light maintenance, including grinding and painting as required.
- Customer Service: Act as the professional face of Bin Kings on-site, delivering bins with precision.
Requirements:
- License: Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License. (Class 1 or 3 is an asset)
- Record: Clean commercial driver’s abstract.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of prior experience operating hook-lift dumpster trucks. Candidates must be able to demonstrate safe operation of a hook-lift vehicle during a practical interview assessment.
- Local Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Calgary and surrounding areas.
- Safety First: Total commitment to provincial health and safety guidelines.
- Physical Demands: Ability to handle the physical requirements of the job (bending, squatting, reaching, lifting 50+ lbs, and working outdoors).
- Reliability: Must have your own reliable transportation to get to work.
