NovaDome is seeking a hands-on Project Manager to oversee projects from internal handoff through production, quality control, shipping, and completion.
This is not a strictly office-based project management role. The successful candidate will work closely with our shop and operations team, provide day-to-day direction, answer operational questions, remove roadblocks, coordinate resources, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to approved drawings and customer requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and manage projects from handoff through production, shipping, installation support, and closeout
- Develop project schedules, milestones, work plans, and completion dates
- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, purchasing, logistics, and shipping requirements
- Provide daily leadership and support to the shop and operations team
- Remain accessible to employees for questions, clarification, coaching, and problem-solving
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and measurements
- Translate project drawings and requirements into practical production steps
- Identify risks, delays, missing information, and scope concerns before they affect project delivery
- Monitor labour, materials, freight, and other project costs against approved budgets
- Work with the Shop Team Lead to maintain quality standards and address deficiencies
- Coordinate with Sales, Estimating, Finance, Customer Service, Logistics, vendors, contractors, and customers
- Support practical training, process improvements, and the development of operational procedures
- Promote and enforce safe-work practices and NovaDome’s Health and Safety requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum three years of experience in project management, project coordination, production supervision, construction management, manufacturing, or a related operational role
- Previous experience leading or directing employees in a shop, construction, manufacturing, fabrication, or hands-on work environment
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings
- Experience developing schedules, coordinating labour and materials, and managing deadlines
- Experience monitoring project costs, labour hours, materials, or budgets
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving ability
- Clear, professional communication and leadership skills
- Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple active projects and changing priorities
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel when required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word
Preferred Experience
- Education or training in project management, construction management, engineering technology, manufacturing, or business operations
- Experience in fiberglass, composites, modular construction, fabrication, or custom manufacturing
- Experience with shipping, freight, inventory, receiving, or logistics
- Experience using systems such as QuickBooks Online, Fishbowl, HubSpot, Ninety, or similar software
- First Aid, WHMIS, forklift, or occupational health and safety training
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
