Malibu Road is looking to hire a Seasonal Keyholder / Sale Associate (Budtender) that will be responsible for the day-to-day flow of store operations and procedures. You are passionate about the industry, knowledgeable about the product, and always willing to learn something new in this ever-changing industry. Alongside the Store Manager, your focus will be building and driving brand awareness and customer loyalty through high-touch service offerings, sales & marketing, and general retail strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Help build strong team culture and an encouraging environment
- Deliver exceptional customer service and lead by example
- Perform age verification duties while maintaining strict customer confidentiality
- Be a responsible vendor of cannabis and provide accurate/appropriate knowledge about product when assisting customers to meet their needs while still encouraging responsible cannabis use
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge regarding new and emerging products, trends, and updated on the National/Provincial Cannabis Act
- Build rapport with customers and help establish the ‘Malibu Road’ culture and brand
- Ensuring correct picking, packing and completion of orders with strong attention to detail
- Actively maintaining an organized/correct inventory and vault
- Effectively communicate needs and ideas to leadership in order to elevate business needs
- Ensure cleanliness of store and supporting in the upkeep of shelving and displays
- Meet and exceed sales targets and ensure the business achieves profitability by controlling costs (labour, supplies, inventory, etc.)
- Stay up to date with company information, campaigns, and promotions
- Meet the physical demands of a retail environment including transporting up to 11 kg
- Adhere to all company training, guidelines, and standard operating procedures
- Flexible schedule and willing to work weekends and holidays
Experience and Background:
- Minimum 3-5 years in retail
- Previous Supervising/Keyholder experience an asset
- CannSell Certification required
- Criminal background check required
- Resourceful, creative and results-oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Proven experience driving sales and creating positive customer experiences
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong integrity and personal character
- Strong industry knowledge and understanding of the regulatory landscape
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Excel is an asset but not necessary
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
