Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant or Customer Service Representative to join our veterinary team. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional care to animals and support pet owners in a professional, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal health, excellent communication skills, and laboratory experience to assist with diagnostic procedures and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with clinical examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures
- Provide compassionate patient care, including feeding, bathing, and monitoring recovery
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of treatments and procedures
- Educate pet owners on post-treatment care and preventive health measures
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and treatment areas
- Support inventory management by stocking supplies and medications
- Cleaning of the Hospital
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Strong drive for independent learning and working
Qualifications
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or as a customer service representative is desired
- Laboratory experience is preferred to assist with diagnostic testing and sample analysis
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and their well-being
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in a veterinary setting is advantageous but not required; training will be provided as needed

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
