Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team at Rutwind Brar LLP. In this role, you will assist with preparing financial records, supporting tax and accounting engagements, maintaining accurate client files, and helping deliver high-quality service to our clients. Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and working papers.
- Assist with bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Assist in payroll processing and related reporting tasks.
- Support payroll processing and related reporting tasks.
- Assist with personal and corporate tax preparation, as required.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, answer basic questions, and support their accounting needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation or in progress.
- Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and tax concepts.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, CaseWare, TaxCycle, or similar programs is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
