About the Role
Job Function: Manage and prioritize the flow of EDI orders for the 3PL division's inbound and outbound documents, and manage and prioritize the workflow for Specialty orders.
Industry: Pet food and supply wholesale distribution.
Who We Are
Trueman Distribution Ltd., a wholly owned division of Freedom Pet Supplies, services the pet specialty channel across Western Canada, alongside a fast-growing 3PL division supporting the food, drug, and mass retail sector. We're a strong industry partner carrying many highly recognized brands sourced primarily in North America. Our offices and warehouse are based in Calgary. As an essential service, we operate 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with weekends and statutory holidays off.
Your Position
You will report directly to our VP of Operations. Your work supports and facilitates workflow for the warehouse team, coordinating closely with the Office and Sales teams. Your role is to prioritize and facilitate the flow of orders — from the time they're received in the office through to prioritization, assembly, invoicing, and shipping.
We work with a number of customers who have specific requirements that need to be accommodated and managed. Experience with EDI for inbound orders and ASNs, and outbound orders ranging from courier/pickup packages to full truckload (FTL) shipments, is important to this role.
Position Details
- Serve as the primary point of contact with EDI trading partners.
- Ensure EDI functionality is fully maintained.
- Coordinate and monitor order workflow for both EDI and distribution orders.
- Review and upload completed orders through the WMS system to our ERP system, Sage 300.
- Prepare all paperwork, labels, license plates, and BOLs for outbound 3PL and Amazon orders.
- Book dock appointments to ensure timely delivery of orders for our 3PL business.
- This is an onsite position requiring your physical presence at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Two or more years of EDI administration experience is an asset (receiving 943s and 940s, ASN-856, and invoicing outbound orders).
- Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal.
- Above-average attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-moving environment.
- Exemplary follow-up and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and comfortable collaborating across teams and asking questions when needed.

Pay: From $35,000.00 per year
