Canada Keli New Technology Development Ltd. is seeking a Red Seal Electrical Journeyman with 5+ years oil sands Projects and Turnaround experience in Upgrader to join their team to support the Fort McMurray region. In this role, the successful candidate will be accountable for maintaining the highest level of professional risk management, identifying, troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment and driving safety culture. We are a team of dedicated professionals who take pride in the work we do, the exceptional customers we serve, this position is in the Fort McMurray, AB area on a client site and it is a 14/14 rotation.
Accountabilities:
May include the following responsibilities:
- Entire heat tracing scope for shutdown
- Self Regulated Splicing
- Mineral Insulated Splicing
- Install and maintain electrical and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers and fuse enclosures
- Troubleshoot systems and equipment
- Replace any non-functioning or faulty systems or equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and testing of existing electrical systems
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and circuit diagrams
- Read code specifications and determining wiring requirements
- High-Voltage Cable Terminations
- Test and measure voltage and loads
- Test integrity of circuits
- Size and install wiring and circuit components
- Industrial wiring
- Maintain records of repairs and installations
- Track inventory of materials
- Project work as required or directed
Qualifications
- Alberta Certified Journeyman Electrician or Inter-Provincial Red Seal
- MI Splicing Ticket
- Pass a Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test
- 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance and Turnarounds
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Comprehension of complex work instructions and documentation as well as the ability to perform duties with little direction
- Valid Driver’s License & Good Driving Record
- Experience Working and Executing Maintenance in a Live Facility
- Experience with DCS, Control Logix, PLC’s, RTU’s Considered an Asset
- Self-motivated, self-starter.
