Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee our 24/7 manufacturing operations and ensure safety and efficient, high-quality production processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in extrusion or other plastics manufacturing, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Core Responsibilities
- Manage daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules aligned with customer demands and supply chain requirements.
- Utilize ERP systems to plan, monitor, and control manufacturing processes.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and improve overall workflow.
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards and specifications.
- Supervise assembly operations, providing guidance on best practices for efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on process improvements and equipment upgrades to enhance productivity.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, quality metrics, and operational costs.
- Train, develop, and evaluate staff to foster a culture of accountability and professional growth.
Qualifications:
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field (mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering); preferably specialized in plastics processing/technology
· Suitable educational background in technical field and sufficient experience with production equipment and managerial duties
· Education/experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kanban, TPM, etc., highly desired
Work Experience
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management / project management position
· Experience in plastics processing (e.g., extrusion, injection molding)
· Experience operating plant equipment safely and efficiently; experience with JHSC is an asset
· Experience/education in Lean Manufacturing
· Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues
· Good understanding of regulatory requirements for operating production equipment
· Good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System

· Advanced proficiency in
o ERP systems
o MS-Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Fluent in reading and writing English (German is an asset)
· Valid driver’s license (Class G)
· Physically able to sit, stand and walk around for long periods at a time, and repeatedly lift up to 23 kg without assistance
Working Conditions:
· 7 am – 3.30 pm with high degree of flexibility to accommodate 24/7 operation
· 100% on-site at the company premises
· Available 24/7 for direction
· Overtime and/or weekend work when required based on operational needs
· Occasional travel may be required with advanced notice provided
Pay: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
