Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to support the financial recordkeeping needs of our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with routine accounting functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping systems.
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Prepare bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations.
- Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping.
- Generate financial reports and summaries as requested.
- Ensure records are complete, organized, and compliant with company policies.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- Communicate with internal teams and external vendors regarding financial matters.
- Assist with administrative and accounting-related projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping practices.
- Proficiency with bookkeeping, accounting, and spreadsheet software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a related field.
- Experience with accounting software and cloud-based financial systems.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and financial reporting.
