Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of vehicles and industrial equipment, providing essential services to our customers while utilizing a wide array of mechanical and electrical skills.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment to identify issues
- Work on heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment
- Operate heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery and other industrial vehicles safely and efficiently
- Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems
- Conduct welding, HVAC repairs, and other mechanical repairs as needed
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly
Experience
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic with dealership or independent shop background preferred
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, welding techniques, electrical systems, and schematics
- Familiarity with industrial equipment maintenance and assembly processes
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic tools
- Experience working with heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently
- Customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repair needs and solutions
This position requires a versatile skill set encompassing automotive repair, heavy equipment operation, electrical work, welding, maintenance, and customer service. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of handling diverse technical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $23.22-$46.25 per hour
