Job Opportunity: Parts Room / Material Handler
JOB SUMMARY
The Parts Room/Material Handler supports day-to-day operations in the truck body manufacturing facility by ensuring parts, materials, components, and supplies are received, organized, tracked, and delivered accurately and on time. This position is responsible for maintaining stock levels across all three parts rooms and shop floor locations, completing weekly yard inventory counts, and helping ensure production teams have the materials required to meet operational schedules. The role requires strong attention to detail, safe material-handling practices, effective communication with production and purchasing teams, and a commitment to keeping parts rooms and work areas clean, organized, and fully stocked.

LOCATION
Our Coaldale, AB plant is located just off of highway 3 and is an easy commute from Lethbridge or Taber. We have roughly 140 employees and are continuing to expand.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Pick up, receive, inspect, and sort incoming parts, materials, supplies, and equipment against packing slips, purchase orders, and delivery paperwork
· Store, label, and organize inventory in the three parts rooms and on shop floors to ensure items are orderly, accessible, and easy to locate
· Distribute parts, materials, tools, and supplies to production floor other departments as required
· Safely transport materials throughout the facility, yard, storage areas, and shop floors using appropriate material handling methods and equipment
· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and training requirements
· Maintain accurate inventory records, parts usage, stock movements, receipts, and weekly yard inventory counts using the computerized inventory system
· Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, damaged items, missing parts, or inventory discrepancies, and communicate concerns to the appropriate supervisor or purchaser
· Prepare and process incoming paperwork, delivery documents, inventory forms, and internal requests accurately and in a timely manner
· Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory counts, stock rotation, bin location updates, and inventory adjustments as directed
· Support production by ensuring required materials, hardware, consumables, and components are available at the right location when needed
· Keep parts rooms, storage areas, yard inventory areas, and material handling zones clean, organized, and free of hazards
· Work with purchasing, production, shipping/receiving to resolve inventory-related issues
· Forklift certification would be considered an asset

WORKING HOURS

· Core hours are from 7:00am – 3:30pm
