We are currently seeking an Apple Systems Administrator (MSP) to join our team.
About the Opportunity
This is a senior-level role for an experienced Apple professional who understands how to support and manage macOS environments within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) setting — and who is comfortable contributing to broader Microsoft 365 and Windows support work when Apple load is lighter.
You will serve as a primary technical resource for our Apple-focused clients, helping manage, deploy, secure, and support macOS devices through Addigy MDM, while also collaborating with the wider team on Microsoft 365 and Intune-managed Windows environments, ticket triage, and project work.
You'll partner with our existing senior Mac specialist, providing depth on the Apple side, bench coverage for client continuity, and capacity to take on new Apple-fleet clients as we grow that practice. As TUCU's Apple IT pillar continues to expand, this role will be central to it.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working within the Apple ecosystem but is also fluent enough in Microsoft 365 and Windows to be a flexible L2 contributor in an MSP setting. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a highly experienced technical team.
What You'll Be Doing
Apple (primary focus)
- Administer and support macOS environments across multiple client organizations using Addigy MDM
- Configure, deploy, and manage Apple devices through Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment
- Manage device provisioning, deployment, configuration profiles, FileVault, identity, and lifecycle management
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex macOS, application, device, and user issues
- Participate in Apple-focused projects, migrations, and new-client onboardings
- Contribute to the development of TUCU's Apple practice — runbooks, standard configurations, security baselines
Microsoft 365 & Windows (secondary)
- Support Windows endpoints managed via Microsoft Intune
- Assist with Microsoft 365 administration (Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender for Business)
- Contribute to general L1/L2 ticket flow during periods of lower Apple workload
Across the role
- Maintain documentation, procedures, and client environment records in our documentation platform (HUDU)
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, professional service
- Collaborate with team members on technical projects and strategic initiatives
- Provide advanced support and escalation assistance when required
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on macOS administration experience in a professional environment
- Apple and/or MDM certifications (Apple Certified Support Professional, Addigy certifications)
- Experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
- Strong knowledge of macOS administration and troubleshooting
- Experience with Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment
- Hands-on experience with an Apple MDM platform — Addigy preferred; transferable experience with Jamf Pro, Kandji, or Mosyle acceptable with willingness to ramp on Addigy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
- Experience with Microsoft Intune for Windows endpoint management — or demonstrated willingness and capacity to ramp quickly
- Experience deploying and managing Apple devices at scale
- Experience supporting multiple client environments simultaneously
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
Additional Assets
- Scripting experience (Bash, Shell, Python, PowerShell)
- General Windows desktop administration experience
- Familiarity with Syncro PSA/RMM
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Business or other endpoint security platforms
