Horizon Maritime Northern Services Ltd. is seeking a Journeyperson certified Welder for support of the Marine Transport Services Shipyard, located in Hay River, Northwest Territories.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Deliver high-quality welding services
- Ensuring the welding, fabrication, and structural repairs comply with Transport Canada regulations, Classification Societies such as Lloyd’s Register and ABS, and Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) standards
- Coordinating with other relevant parties to ensure that repairs are conducted in a safe and efficient manner
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Journeyman certification valid in the Northwest Territories or Red Seal
- CWB SMAW Certification
- Experience an asset
- Medical Certifications (First Aid, CPR, etc.) an asset
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
- Hourly wage $53.01
- Health, Dental, short-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and life insurance upon hire
- A northern living allowance will be provided at a rate of $404 biweekly
- Camp accommodations are available for out-of-town residents at a per diem of $70 daily
