Position Summary
The Shop Assistant plays an important role in supporting our Service Department by ensuring the shop, service drive, and surrounding property remain organized, clean, and operating efficiently.
This is a physically active role requiring someone who enjoys working on their feet throughout the day and takes pride in keeping a professional work environment.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining cleanliness throughout the shop and service areas
- Floor clean-up and shop housekeeping
- Garbage removal
- Cleaning compressed air lines
- Maintaining the tool room
- Removing scrap metal and batteries for recycling
- Sweeping and maintaining the Service Drive
- Washing and preparing Lincoln service vehicles
- Assisting with porter duties as required
- Vehicle check-in and parking
- Organizing inventory and customer vehicles on the lot
- Parts deliveries and pickups, along with other dealership errands
- Performing basic oil changes
- Performing basic tire repairs
- Assisting with seasonal tire storage operations
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the dealership exterior and grounds
- Supporting technicians, advisors, and management with additional duties as required

Requirements
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s Licence
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is considered an asset
- Ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs
- Previous automotive or dealership experience is an asset but not required—we’re willing to train the right person
