Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a clinic setting. As an LPN, you will work closely with patients and their families to ensure their comfort and well-being while assisting other team members and physicians in delivering effective healthcare services.
Duties
- Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health records within the EMR
- Collaborate with the healthcare team in case management to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management and wellness strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations within the facility.
- Able to perform cryo, ear flushes, staple/stitch removal
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Alberta.
- Experience in patient care within a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Health Quest, is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Previous experience in clinical care is an asset.
