We are a private household in Richmond Hill seeking a patient and engaging Home Child Care Provider to care for our toddler (born in 2023).
The role requires providing dedicated one-on-one care tailored to the child’s specific learning and emotional needs. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to implement daily speech-stimulation exercises under the guidance of parents and professional therapists to support the child’s social and verbal development.
Job Duties (NOC 44100)
· Supervise and care for toddler (born 2023)
· Prepare and serve meals/snacks for the child; assist with feeding
· Plan and supervise age-appropriate activities
· Assist with nap routine, bathing, and dressing
· Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy home environment
· Perform housekeeping related to childcare (laundry, tidying, dishes)
· Support family with daily routines
· Follow parents’ instructions and maintain child’s daily schedule
Requirements
· At least 1 year of paid experience as a child caregiver or nanny
· Secondary school education
· English language ability, Cantonese (asset but not required)
· Ability to work independently without supervision
· Honest, responsible, and patient
· 30 hours per week, with occasional overtime and weekends if required
· CPR / First Aid training (asset but not required)
· Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
