Kitchen Cabinet Installer – Winnipeg, MB
Emcab Kitchens is looking for an experienced Kitchen Cabinet Installer to join our growing team. We specialize in custom and semi-custom cabinetry for residential renovations, new builds, and multi-family projects throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, professionalism, problem-solving, and customer experience. This position is best suited for someone who can work independently, take ownership of their work, and maintain a high level of finish quality with minimal supervision.
This is a full-time hourly position with steady year-round work and opportunity for long-term growth within the company.
Wage
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience and capability
- Typical range: $28–$45/hour
- Top wages available for highly experienced installers
Responsibilities
- Install kitchen cabinets, vanities, fillers, panels, trim, hardware, and accessories
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and installation plans
- Complete accurate site measurements when required
- Perform custom modifications, scribing, and problem-solving onsite
- Coordinate with designers, project managers, and other trades when required
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Provide excellent customer service while working in occupied residential homes
- Assist with cabinet assembly and shop work when needed
- Complete service work, adjustments, and touch-ups when required
- Ensure installations meet company quality standards and timelines
- Manage and complete installations independently when necessary
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years woodworking and/or cabinet installation experience
- Previous kitchen cabinet installation experience is required
- Assembly shop experience is considered an asset
- Experience working in residential renovation and construction environments
- Must have own installation tools (some specialty tools will be provided)
- Comfortable making custom modifications onsite
- Strong understanding of cabinet installation techniques and finishing details
- Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings accurately
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
- Professional and respectful communication with customers, trades, and team members
- Comfortable working inside occupied residential homes
- Must be dependable, punctual, organized, and reliable
- Good time management skills and ability to meet installation schedules
- Comfortable attending office meetings and contributing to team discussions and company culture
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
- Van or truck preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry cabinets, tools, and materials
- Comfortable working on feet throughout the day
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Comfortable working in active construction and renovation environments
