We currently have an opening in our Bookkeeping Department for a Law Firm Billing Clerk.
Candidates should have strong organizational skills and an eye for detail and the ability to function as part of a work team. They should also have:
- University/College degree/diploma in Accounting, Business, or Legal Assistant programs OR
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in a Law Firm bookkeeping department is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
- Experience with legal accounting software would be an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Confident and dependable, with strong work ethics and initiative.
We are looking for someone with the ability to thrive in a successful law practice. We need someone who is a great self-starter, who is able to work independently and most importantly, we are looking for someone with a keen and attention to detail.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Perform regular duties in the Bookkeeping Department of a mid-sized law firm, including reviewing lawyer dockets; creating pre-bills; making amendments; processing client invoices; assisting with banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reports.
