Prairie Mobile Communications is looking for an experienced telecommunications Field Service Technician who can move into a full-time role at our Calgary location.
Your day will include:
- Installing communications equipment in shop and field environments, as well as buildings
- Troubleshoot and repair two-way radios and related equipment
- Document modifications and procedures and make information available internally
- Provide internal advice on technical matters to the sales and service departments
- Assist in site maintenance at Prairie Mobile sites within the region
- On-call assistance as required

Qualifications:
- A recognized certificate or diploma in a related field such as Wireless Systems Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, or Digital Communications and Wireless Technology is an asset
- 3 years experience in a similar role is a preferred; an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered (will train the right candidate).
- Computer proficiency, with working knowledge of MS O365 applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Be mechanically inclined and able to work with and maintain hand tools and small power tools
- Proficient with test equipment such as Freedom/General Dynamics, Aeroflex
- Good communication and strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of staff, customers and the public
- Excellent time management and organization skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must possess a valid 5 Level Driver's license, acceptable driver's abstract, and be able to drive
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance throughout employment
- Must be physically fit with the ability to bend, stretch, stand for prolonged periods, and lift up to 50lbs
- Must comply with drug and alcohol testing as required by customers for site access
