Summary
Dealer Auditor – Warranty Compliance
Remote position based in the Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta metro area.
Travel Requirement: This role requires extensive travel (90%+), primarily to dealership locations throughout the assigned territory.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Dealer Auditor to support warranty compliance and risk management across our dealer network. In this role, you will conduct dealership warranty audits, evaluate warranty claim submissions, identify compliance risks, and ensure adherence to warranty policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of dealership fixed operations expertise, automotive technical knowledge, analytical capabilities, and audit/compliance experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed audits of dealership warranty claims and repair order documentation to ensure compliance with company warranty policies and procedures.
- Identify non-compliant warranty submissions and initiate appropriate chargeback actions.
- Prepare and communicate audit notifications, findings, reports, and related documentation.
- Analyze warranty KPIs, claim trends, and dealer performance metrics to identify potential risks and compliance concerns.
- Collaborate with dealership management, regional operations teams, and corporate stakeholders to improve warranty compliance.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to dealership personnel regarding warranty policies and procedures.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Support additional dealer network initiatives, including facility inspections and special audit projects.
- Utilize data analytics to monitor warranty expense trends and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5–7 years of experience in automotive retail, dealership operations, warranty administration, service management, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of dealership fixed operations, including service and warranty processes.
- Solid knowledge of automotive repair procedures, diagnostics, and technical information systems.
- Experience reviewing repair orders, warranty claims, and supporting documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.
Preferred
- Previous experience in warranty auditing, compliance, internal audit, risk management, or fraud investigations.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential or similar certification.
- Experience with data analytics, KPI reporting, and trend analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
