How you’ll make an impact
Leverage your expertise in credit underwriting, commercial financing and leadership to lead a regional team responsible for preparing credit proposals for small and medium-sized agribusinesses and food processing companies. Your work will directly influence the quality of credit decisions and risk mitigation for FCC.
As Manager, A&A Commercial and Small Business Underwriting, you'll lead, coach and develop a specialized underwriting team. Drawing on your sound credit judgment, analytical abilities and strong communication skills, you'll ensure that clear, comprehensive and consistent loan narratives are prepared within tight timelines.

What you'll do
Lead, coach and train a regional team of underwriters specializing in commercial and small business financing
Review loan narratives prepared by the team and provide detailed feedback and active guidance prior to submission to Credit Risk
Ensure the quality, consistency and conciseness of credit narratives, with a focus on risk mitigation
Act as a key liaison between Credit Risk, Operations and sales teams
Support the growth of the team's skills in the areas of credit culture and lending policies
Foster an engaging, high-performance work environment focused on collaboration and professional development
What you’ll bring to the team
Required qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a related field or discipline
At least five years of experience in commercial lending (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Expertise in analyzing commercial and small business financing opportunities
Proven experience in credit underwriting and risk mitigation
Sound knowledge of lending policies, processes and practices
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts
Experience mentoring or coaching team members
Preferred qualifications:
Formal leadership experience
Commercial lending experience
Familiarity with the agriculture, agribusiness and food and beverage industries
