Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Concierge to join our team.
The prime responsibility of a Concierge is the safety and welfare of the residents. The Concierge reports directly to the Building Manager.
The Concierge must present a neat appearance and pleasant demeanour at all times. All residents and visitors must be greeted courteously and assistance offered and given in accordance with the duties of the job.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
A. Controlling Entrance to the Building and Garage:
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and ensuring authorized entry. Maintaining logs of visitors/guests/deliveries.
B. Providing Assistance to Residents:
- Assisting residents when entering and exiting the building (ie. open doors, assist with luggage, bring trolleys for groceries). Notify residents when guests/parcels arrive. Deliver the daily newspapers and other condominium notices.
C. Maintaining the Grounds:
- Water planters. Assist with the clearing of snow and spreading of salt. Clean up the grounds of litter. Clean/tidy the pool terrace, ensure the furniture is out and in suitable condition. Test the pool chemicals as required.
D. Security Patrols and/or Emergency Protocols:
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect any suspicious activity. Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems regularly. Respond promptly any security incidents or emergencies, including disturbances, accidents, or medical/fire emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Carry a valid Ontario Security License
- Strong observation skills with the ability to quickly identify potential security risks
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
