Project Manager – Residential Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee residential construction projects from concept to completion. This role is perfect for someone who is able to manage multiple projects and has a passion for construction.

key responsibilities:
· develop comprehensive project plans from start to finish including schedules, budgets, material delivery timelines and critical milestones
· able to fully understand and evaluate scope of projects; ensuring resource allocation is set accordingly
· oversee all phases of projects, from pre-construction to closeout
· coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget
· monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a weekly basis
· prepare accurate cost estimates and project budgets based on thorough analysis and takeoffs
· monitor project expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints
· proactively address client concerns and maintain positive relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and project success
· requesting quoted prices, identifying subcontractors, estimating project expenses; and when required, coordinating bid preparation
· proactively identify and resolve challenges/obstacles that may arise during the execution of the project, finding innovative solutions to keep projects on track
· lead, motivate, and mentor project teams to foster a collaborative and high performing work environment
· delegate tasks effectively, ensuring project coordinators understand their roles and responsibilities
· coordinate with applicable officials (municipal, township, provincial)
· conduct site visits to address issues and compile construction progress reports
· any other duties as needed
knowledge, skills and abilities you will need:
· excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
· extensive knowledge of construction processes, techniques and materials, with a focus on residential building systems and methodologies
· excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to professionally interact with a variety of different stakeholders
· ability to read blueprints
· strong coordination and organizational skills
· ability to manage and handle multiple projects concurrently
· ability to make decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete data and under tight deadlines
· knowledge of the ontario building code and appropriate standards
· knowledge of revit and bluebeam an asset
· proficiency in procore an asset
· your qualifications:
· demonstrated experience in residential construction project management
· college diploma, university degree in business administration, project management, construction, engineering or related field an asset
· proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget
· valid g level licence
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 5-years experience in residential construction Project Management
· 5+ years of experience construction estimating
· In-depth working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
· Experience using various software to perform take offs and red line drawings (Ie. Revitt, Bluebeam, CAD)
· Proficient with Microsoft Applications: Excel, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint
· Experience as a Carpenter an asset.

Pay: $59,787.47-$131,535.41 per year
