MKZ Drywall is seeking a highly skilled Level 5 Renovation Taper to join our team. We specialize in delivering flawless drywall finishes across new builds, existing homes, basements, and garages, and we are looking for someone with expertise in Level 5 ceilings as well as walls. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional quality.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of drywall taping, mudding, and sanding.
- Specialize in achieving Level 5 smooth finishes on walls and ceilings, with a focus on ceilings.
- Perform your own surface prep before starting taping/finishing (MKZ provides scaffolding, but prep is the responsibility of the taper).
- Work efficiently on renovation and new build projects, adapting to project-specific challenges.
- Ensure work meets the highest quality standards and project timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and homeowners.
- Repair and patch existing drywall as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in drywall taping and finishing, with a portfolio showcasing Level 5 wall and ceiling finishes.
- Extensive experience on full-service projects: new builds, renovations, basements, garages.
- Proficient with all taping and finishing tools and techniques.
- Strong knowledge of drywall materials and best practices.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to perform proper surface prep independently.
- Ability to work independently and reliably.
- Valid driver’s license and transportation.
- Liability/WCB coverage required.
