Job Summary
The Container Guy is looking for a reliable and motivated Driver / Equipment Operator to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Perform local deliveries throughout Saskatchewan using our deck truck.
- Load, unload, and transport containers and related equipment ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo
- Operate yard equipment to move, position, and organize containers and materials.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain vehicle functionality
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations during operation to prevent accidents or damage
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, cargo, and equipment usage for record-keeping purposes
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate logistics and ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the yard.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or other industrial machinery
- Valid Class 3A commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Prior experience in freight transportation or logistics is preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus
- Familiarity with safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and commercial driving is essential
- Ability to operate various types of heavy machinery safely and efficiently in different environments
- Experience with welding is an asset
