ABOUT THE FARM
Just A Mere Organic Farm is a small, family owned, and certified organic farm located just outside of the beautiful town of Creston, BC. As we evolve from tree fruit production into berry growing, we are seeking seasonal berry pickers interested in harvesting and sorting blueberries as well hydroponic strawberries. Also as some basic plant maintenance such as weeding, deadheading and trimming may be required.
This is short term employment starting immediately and approximately until the end of September. Hours may vary but must be available and wiling to work full days (8 hours) when needed. Early morning starts are required for picking to avoid the afternoon heat.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A positive attitude and motivation to learn and improve
- Strong work ethic and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit (able to repeatedly work standing, kneeling and/or bending)
- Frequent and heavy lifting may be required. Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
- Willingness to work in (and dress for) variable weather conditions (sun, rain, heat, cold and amongst bugs)
- Must be able handle repetitive tasks with speed and efficiency
- Mindful of details while abiding to safe food handling procedures
- Willing to work early mornings
- Experience, knowledge or interest in food production, is considered an asset but not required
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the farm.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and be able to communicate (verbal and written) clearly
WORKER TASKS
- Maintaining plants (weeding, cutting runners)
- Meeting or exceeding harvest goals
- Daily picking and packing of berries
- Washing equipment
JOB DETAILS

Workdays are Monday-Saturday, approximately 20-40 hours per week, yield and weather dependent. A start time of 5:00am may be required to fulfill daily shipments but shift durations will vary.
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
