Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part time ECE Assistant/Educator to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to positively influence young children's development by providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, experience working with children, and strong communication skills. This position is essential in supporting classroom activities, fostering social and cognitive growth, and ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all children.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Support children during activities such as reading, arts and crafts, and playtime to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Supervise children to ensure safety at all times within the classroom and outdoor areas
- Help with classroom management and behavior guidance in a positive manner
- Support individualized learning plans, especially for children with disabilities or special needs
- Prepare materials and set up learning stations for various activities
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
Skills
- Prior classroom experience or experience working with children is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and support staff
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Basic understanding of math concepts suitable for early childhood education settings
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for fostering a positive learning environment

Pay: $18.50-$21.00 per hour
